In Barcelona, the first thing to verify is the venue used. Camp Nou, a temporary stadium or another setup do not create the same neighborhood choice or return route.

Eixample remains the strongest compromise for sleeping, going out and keeping transport simple. A neighborhood chosen only for atmosphere can become less practical if the stadium changes.

The best plan for your case

For a first trip, keep two nights and a central base. If the match is late, avoid a hotel too far from useful lines: the return matters more than a few euros saved.
